Hello, my name is Vanessa Jens and I am married to Shaun Jens. We have a fur baby, Captain, and live on his family dairy farm that he owns and operates. I am a UW-Whitewater Graduate with a General Management degree, an Emphasis in Non-Profit Management and a background in accounting. I got into the floral industry because of my Mom, Jessica. She had owned her own floral shop, Arbuckle Floral, and Decorating, which was located in Cascade then Plymouth. Her life led her to other opportunities so she no longer was a shop owner. The previous owner of Rick's House of Flowers was looking to retire, he reached out to my Mom to buy his shop, she reached out to me and one thing led to another. I never thought that I would own my Floral Shop and have my Mom as the florist, but it has been nothing but fun and a great learning experience!

We stand out by being the only floral shop in Sheboygan Falls. We offer same-day delivery because we know that things pop up, people need last-minute gifts, or a special occasion needs to be acknowledged. We get floral deliveries 1-3 times a week assuring that our customers are getting the best quality for their money. We have a wide delivery range and we deliver all the way from Kiel to Belgium. Lastly, we have a vase promotion, the customer brings in vases and containers and gets a bouquet of flowers in exchange. 

I am biased in saying that my floral shop is the best, but it is! In our first year we were the 2nd Best Floral Shop in the Best of Sheboygan County Awards. We are a part of the Wisconsin Upper Michigan Floral Association (WUMFA) and for the first time competing at the convention in 2024 I took 1st in my Category and 1st in the On Stage People's Vote. 

My team is small, but I prefer quality over quantity. I, Vanessa, am the Owner/Manager of the shop. Jessica is the Floral Designer. John is my main Delivery Driver, but I do get extra help during Valentine's and Mother's Day from family friends, Mark and Levi. I also get help from other family members for cleaning flowers and helping with the counter/phone orders. My Grandma, Margie, is known as the rose cleaner. My Aunt Jen is someone that customers hear on the phone during the holidays. We also bring in Karel, a family friend who has background knowledge of floral design for our busy times as well. Currently, I have one part-time worker who is here for the summer but will join us when she is not in college. Overall, my team supports me during the busy and slow times, they work to give the greatest service and I could not do it without them! 

We are a part of the Sheboygan Falls Chamber Main Street. Myself and Jessica are on the Promotions Committee and Vanessa is on the Member Committee as well. We volunteer our time for the major Chamber events, Ducktona, Ladies Nite Out, Main Street Memories, and Annual Meeting and help with the decorating of the downtown. I sponsor two softball teams at the Quit Qui Oc fields. We provide flowers for middle school and high school performances. We take part in the Petal It Forward Event, which is a whole day of giving customers free bouquets, 1 to keep and 1 to give away to spread the love of flowers. I donate to the school's programs and fundraisers. We did something new this year and partnered with an artist from the Sheboygan Visual Artists (SVA), Jessica created an arrangement and the artist painted it for an event to support their organization.
